The Afton Town Council on July 14 awarded two construction contracts totaling $308,744 to repair and maintain town streets. Kilroy Construction, LLC won the West Alley Pavement Replacement Project at $187,129.00 and DNS Excavation, LLC won the 2026 Street Improvement Maintenance Project at $121,615.00.
Public Works Director J.R. Nield presented the bids. Council Member Scott Griffith moved to award the West Alley contract to Kilroy Construction; Council Member Dirk Hillyard moved the motion to award the Street Improvement contract to DNS Excavation; both motions passed unanimously. The minutes record the award amounts and the successful bidders but do not include contract numbers or a construction schedule.
Town staff will be authorized to issue Notices of Award and proceed with whatever procurement steps are required to execute the contracts and schedule the work.
