Finance staff provided an update on the city’s redevelopment areas (RDAs) and several multi‑year capital projects during the March 17 work session.
Anna Montoya said the city has four active RDAs; the Eastside RDA and North Valley RDA are wrapping up this fiscal year and their final increments are being programmed to close out the projects. For active areas, staff described ongoing improvements at Egg Farm (1100 South and 1500 South work and stormwater upgrades) and Patriot Station/TOD (200 South construction pending right‑of‑way acquisitions).
Montoya also noted a proposed $7.1 million project for the Dixie well that would create a deficit in the impact fee fund; she said the city may address this through deficit financing, interfund borrowing, or private financing and will return additional financing details to the Council. Several street reconstruction projects were listed as design‑phase items for future Council consideration.
