Select Board member Jan Ledbetter reported that the Joint Loss Management Committee survey identified the aging ADA ramp at the back of the Churchill Schoolhouse as the top safety concern. She said she met with Level Ramping Solutions to discuss a redesigned, more up-to-date configuration; one section measures about 4.8°, which Ledbetter said is code-compliant, and another is gentler at about 4.4°.
Ledbetter said Road Agent Chris Kinville’s input on driveway and road leveling is needed before final design. She also indicated the project will likely require a warrant article in the fall budget process and that at least two additional vendors will be solicited for comparison.
