The Brookfield Planning Board voted on June 8, 2026 to set a public hearing on the updated Master Plan for the regular July 13, 2026 meeting and agreed to make the revised document available in advance. Board members noted the Master Plan review by attorney Laura Spector Morgan is ongoing and emphasized the board’s consensus that the Master Plan is advisory rather than legally binding.
Members also confirmed that road-classification updates had already been submitted to the state and clarified the extent of a scenic-road designation on Lyford Road, describing the segment from the Clark Road corner to the Old Governor’s Road dirt-road landmark near the cemetery and distinguishing paved and dirt sections. The board agreed that Rules of Procedure revisions would be an agenda item for the July 13 meeting following the Master Plan hearing.
