Road Agent Chris Kinville told the Select Board the center of previously reclaimed sections on Clark and Lyford roads is separating and that additional base material and grinding are needed to reduce water infiltration and avoid full reclamation in the future. Kinville presented two comparable bids and recommended Allstate Construction based on experience with municipal work; Allstate’s bid was "$125,283."
Jan Ledbetter moved to award the contract to Allstate Construction for paving Lyford Road and Clark Road with Chris Kinville as project manager; Austin Fifield seconded and the motion passed unanimously (Zacher: Yes / Fifield: Yes / Ledbetter: Yes). The board noted the work is likely to be scheduled in September and that the bids were structured on actual tons used with differing treatments for grinding and base materials.
