At its April 22 meeting the Houston County Board of Commissioners approved the hiring and pay schedule for poll workers for the June 17, 2025 Special Election, authorizing Accounting to make needed budget adjustments. The total listed for poll-worker pay and related election staffing was $14,262.50 across roles including managers, assistant managers, clerks and training stipends.
The board also approved two personnel hires effective April 23, 2025: Brandi Holland to fill a vacant Assistant District Attorney position at Grade 30 Step C, and Jana Dingmore to fill a Legal Secretary vacancy in the Public Defender's Office at Grade 13 Step B. Both motions carried unanimously.
