Commissioners approve two special exceptions, deny one after public hearing

Chief Building Inspector Tim Andrews presented three Special Exception Applications for the Board’s review. Applicants were present and no members of the public registered opposition during the hearing; the Board approved #2841 (Larry & Jacquelyn Kijawski — Polish Pottery Business) and #2843 (Christie Griffin — Cleaning Business) and disapproved #2840 (Pedro Calel — Residential & Commercial Painting).
Chairman Perdue closed the public hearing and warned that restrictive covenants could still be enforced by private parties even when a county special exception is granted. The approved applicants were advised to apply for business licenses at the Commissioners’ Office as the next step.
