Rebecca Squires presented proposed updates to the county personnel policy and Standard Operating Procedures, including a new social media policy addendum and updates to dress and grooming standards, personnel-file handling, PTO donation standards, and holiday pay. The commissioners voted unanimously to adopt Resolution #2026-17 and several SOP updates.
Squires also presented quotes to purchase commemorative items for America’s 250: 1,000 lapel pins from Lapel Pin Now for $1,089 and 500 challenge coins from Pin People for $1,290. Commissioner Young moved to approve the purchases and the motion passed by unanimous roll call.
The board adopted the Social Media Policy addendum number 9 on March 9, 2026 and approved changes to multiple SOP entries as recorded in the minutes.
