Solid Waste department approves DEQ financial assurance estimate of $1,863

Brandy Ward presented a financial assurance estimate prepared by Excel Engineering to meet Idaho DEQ requirements; the estimate for this year was $1,863. Commissioner Young moved to approve the estimate and the motion passed by unanimous roll call.
Ward also provided department updates, including projected revenues, an open position in the solid waste department, and construction progress at the new Circular Butte Landfill shop. Ward and staff plan to attend a solid waste conference in Boise next week.
