During the Road & Bridge portion of the March 9 meeting, Mike Carter presented the annual asphalt/road oil contract for the 2026 chipping season. He said most Idaho counties piggyback on the Power County bid package and that the next nearest option would be a contractor in Utah.
Commissioner Clark moved to approve the road oil contract between Idaho Asphalt and Jefferson County; Commissioner Young seconded and the motion passed by unanimous roll call. The minutes reference an Exhibit A for contract details but do not reproduce the contract in the record.
