Dennis Storm of Clark Environmental Mosquito Management addressed commissioners about the county's mosquito-spraying contract. He said additional spray miles in recent years were performed only after the mosquito abatement board approved them and that the increases were driven by elevated mosquito activity, residential growth and higher service requests.
Storm reviewed the district's monitoring practices, said recent seasons have shown higher mosquito pressure and a longer season, and noted the current contract is in its final year. He emphasized Clark's commitment to transparency and told the board the company is interested in continuing to collaborate with the county and mosquito district.
