Hospital interim CEO urges county to consider funding a third ambulance and repaying deferred taxes as a loan

Bill Patten, interim CEO of the Sublette County Hospital District, told commissioners the county needs a third ambulance and asked the board to discuss purchase options with the incoming permanent CEO. Patten also proposed that deferred property taxes from 2021 and 2022 owed to the Hospital District be repaid now as a loan.
The board did not approve funding at the April 7 meeting. Instead, commissioners requested Patten bring the hospital’s new CEO to the next meeting with alternate repayment structures and ambulance purchase options so the board could consider formal action after receiving more information.
