The Osceola County Board of Supervisors on July 14 approved a July 1 pay application of $406,128.91 related to the county jail remodel after an update from John Hansen of Midwest Construction Consultants.
Hansen briefed the board on project progress. The payment request the board approved was itemized as follows: Rick Weidner AIA $5,124.00; Midwest Construction Consultant $15,107.27; Steffes Companies $112,429.81; Noah Detention $162,511.75; Redlinger Brothers $25,769.70; C.W. Suter $17,848.13; Winger Companies $66,500.00; Boji Portable Toilets $280.00; G & B Sanitation $558.25. The motion to approve the pay application was made by Mike Schulte, seconded by Jayson Vande Hoef, and carried with all voting aye.
The board also reviewed additional jail remodel fund line items listed later in the claims, including payments recorded under the Jail Remodel Fund for CW Suter & Son, Noah Detention Construction, Steffes Companies and others. The board did not record further modifications to the contract in the meeting minutes. The board approved the pay application and continued with the agenda.
