Board approves vouchers, payroll and minutes; landfill to close July 3–4; LHS proclamation postponed

At the start of the April 20 meeting, Clerk Rein presented payable vouchers, payroll reports and draft minutes. Commissioners reviewed and approved payable vouchers, payroll and corrected minutes for signature. The board also recorded that the proclamation for the LHS Skills Class was postponed.
The clerk and commissioners discussed the Solid Waste department's July 4 holiday schedule. Because the landfill is not a 24-hour service and is usually open on Saturdays, the board directed that the Pawnee County Landfill be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 and asked that the holiday schedule be posted early so the public is notified. No fiscal impact or signage timeline was included in the minutes.
