"The request was initiated by the City of Lake Park to annex approximately 1.12 acres consisting of two tracts currently located within a county island and to apply City of Lake Park Zoning Classification R‑15 upon annexation," Arzayus said. Chairman Steve Miller opened the public hearing and no one spoke in favor or opposition. Commissioner Vicki Roundtree moved to recommend approval; Commissioner Calvin Graham seconded and the commission voted 10‑0 in favor.
The commission’s action is advisory; Arzayus and Chairman Miller noted that final approval of annexation and zoning will be made by the applicable local member governments at the public hearings listed on the agenda. The commission record shows no conditions attached to this recommendation.
