Commissioner Talton presented a commercial services agreement with Cox Communications Georgia, LLC and Cox Georgia Telcom, LLC to replace the E-911 Center’s telephony infrastructure. The Board approved the 36-month agreement (motion by Mr. Talton, second by Mr. Gottwals); the contract carries a monthly charge of $896.81 and a one-time installation fee of $345.
Chairman Perdue said the upgrade will provide improved capability and lead to cost savings for the 911 center. The Board voted unanimously to authorize signing the agreement and County staff will coordinate implementation with the E-911 Center.
