Tin Mountain outlines Mill Brook restoration plan; work contingent on NH DES permits

The project will use strategically placed large woody material to slow water flow, improve stream function and enhance brook trout habitat; Allie reviewed monitoring methods and project goals and said work is expected to begin in August pending final NH Department of Environmental Services permitting.
Commissioners raised questions about flood concerns, long-term monitoring plans, and how the public perceives woody material left in streams. Allie explained the designs are intended to improve stream resilience without creating significant blockages and outlined that monitoring will track ecological and hydrologic responses after installation.
