The Hackberry Elementary School District #3 Governing Board adopted the FY2027 budget at its regular meeting July 14, 2026, at Cedar Hills School. The board entered and closed a public hearing on the budget before voting; the formal adoption motion was approved 3-0.
Sam Dell, the district’s business manager, presented the financial updates that accompanied the hearing and adoption. He reported the district’s general ledger showed roughly $160,000 more in the bank than the previous year and that, as of the May update, about $297,000 of the budget remained; the June update projects an end-of-year carryover of approximately $370,000. The Student Council account was reported at $5,266.60 and will carry forward to the next school year.
The motion to approve the FY2027 Adopted Budget was made by Pam Adams and seconded by Charla Loomis and recorded as Passed 3-0. The adoption follows the district’s statutory public-hearing process; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The board is scheduled to meet next on August 11, 2026.
