OSBA update: Vernonia board hears state bills on SPED cap, climate standards, class sizes and meeting recordings

The chair also flagged Senate Bill 1109, which would limit meeting-recording requirements to main meetings (relieving districts from recording every special or committee meeting), and other bills on PERS rate relief and board stipends. Board members asked clarifying questions throughout the update and the chair encouraged board members to engage with OSBA on testimony and advocacy.
