The Watonga Board of Education approved a set of extra-duty adjunct contracts for the 2026–2027 school year on July 13. Motions by Aaron Clewell, seconded by Courtney Nagel, covered individual hires for courses across middle and high school levels: Jennifer Base (Middle School Language Arts); Easton Batt (Mid-level Social Studies); Cooper Cox (Oklahoma History); Nickolas Fowler (Intermediate Math); Kelli Hime (Broadcasting); Adan Rendon (Physical Science); Amanda Riley (MS/HS Art); Rece Wilhelm (Middle School Science); Trenn Smith (3–5 Physical Education on a support employee contract); and Stephen Lake (Aviation on a support employee contract).
Each hire was voted on and recorded as carried 4–0. The meeting minutes list the names and assigned subjects but do not detail individual contract lengths, salary amounts or start dates. The approvals authorize district administrators to finalize adjunct contracts and assign duties for the 2026–2027 school year.
Board procedures grouped multiple adjunct approvals into consecutive motions; the minutes attribute mover and seconder for each and show unanimous support among attending board members.
