New loop trail markers installed; chestnuts doing well and vernal pool shows tadpoles

Commission member Faith Buell said six chestnut trees planted last year are "looking good," and she reported that a vernal pool along Old Governor's Road contains tadpoles, indicating recent breeding activity. The commission did not record any formal actions beyond continuing monitoring and maintenance of the trail and plantings.
Commissioners asked volunteers and members to keep an eye on plantings and seasonal wetland habitats and agreed to include these items in future site checks.
