County administrator updates board on humane-society talks, budget schedule and state property-tax relief bill

Mahesh also told the board that the Iowa Legislature and the governor have proposed a property-tax relief bill, and the county will analyze the measure with the Urban County Coalition, ISEC and the League of Cities to understand revenue impacts. "We are going to study it and try to come up with what's in the bill and how it's going to impact the revenue situation with the county," he said.
