The Vernonia School District Board of Directors unanimously elected Greg Kintz as board chair and Joanie Jones as vice chair for the 2025–26 year at its July 10 meeting. The board also confirmed committee memberships for the year, including a Negotiations Team and a Scholarship Committee.
Greg Kintz self‑nominated for chair and received a unanimous vote. Joanie Jones likewise self‑nominated and was unanimously elected vice chair. The board then approved committee appointments: the Negotiations Team will include Alicia Mahoney, Greg Kintz and Lisa Curry; the Scholarship Committee will include Javoss McGuire, Amy Cieloha, Tony Holmes and Joanie Jones. Amy Cieloha volunteered to serve on the Safety Committee and policy review volunteers include Javoss McGuire, Joanie Jones and Alicia Mahoney.
Board members discussed roles and logistics for committees and noted that committees that require official public notice can include additional board members. The decisions take effect immediately; no dissent was recorded.
