Amy Ellenberger, the district's English Language Development (ELD) director, introduced herself at the Oct. 20 Warrenton-Hammond School District No. 30 work session and reviewed the ELD program and how to access the state annual report.
Superintendent Trip Goodall said "what is needed is curriculum to support the program and director," and directed the ELD director to look into attendance data for students enrolled in the program. Board members discussed attendance as a key metric for measuring program growth. Ellenberger said she will follow up with staff to compile participation and attendance figures for the board to review.
