"We should have posters asking about short-term rentals as well as ADU’s," said Selectboard representative Lianne Prentice, advocating that the outreach explicitly solicit resident views on these housing types. Ann Pollard added that the board needs to understand current housing stock and the age profile of the population before finalizing survey questions.
The board did not take policy action on short-term rentals or ADUs at this meeting; members instructed staff and LRPC to collect demographic and housing data to inform later planning and possible policy options.
