Tamworth’s Planning Board agreed that outreach for the Master Plan update should begin with a broad community survey to prioritize topics and follow with poster sessions to collect more detailed input.
Danielle Scadova‑Vose of the Lakes Region Planning Commission said LRPC "has an outreach approach" and can provide sample survey questions and run a poster-session roadmap. Board members discussed doing the survey first as a prioritization tool and then using poster sessions—at events such as Family Day and the Farmers Market—to gather deeper feedback.
Members identified specific outreach venues and online groups (Tamworth Exchange, Tamworth Taxpayers, the Recreation Department Facebook page, and the Police Department Facebook page) and asked LRPC to send a list of outreach organizations and contacts for prioritization. The board plans to use both in-person and online channels to reach a broad cross-section of residents.
