Tamworth Planning Board to pursue full Master Plan update with LRPC support

The Tamworth Planning Board voted to move from a narrower update to a full Master Plan revision and will work with the Lakes Region Planning Commission (LRPC) to run outreach and draft chapters.
"We will take a step back and do a broader community survey to ask what people want to think about and prioritize in this process," said Elsa Weintraub as the board agreed to broaden the scope. Danielle Scadova‑Vose of LRPC described a roadmap of outreach and noted that the existing contract will need to be reworked so LRPC can write chapters and assist with formatting and demographics.
Board members emphasized using the Capital Improvement Program to align spending with Master Plan priorities and requested technical analyses such as a buildout study. Ann Pollard said the School Chapter should be treated as an important element of the update. The board set a follow-up work session for June 10 to continue scoping and scheduling.
