The Commission approved an Engineering Standard for pavers and millings that establishes definitions and permeability percentages for pervious and impervious surfaces.
Attorney John Cary clarified that the Commission may elect to accept the new definitions as an approved Engineering Standard document. Commissioner Calenda moved to approve the Engineering Standard for Pervious and Impervious Surfaces; Commissioner Anderson seconded. The motion passed 6-0.
Adoption of the standard provides staff and applicants a uniform technical reference for evaluating driveway and paving proposals and helps staff enforce permeability and drainage requirements consistently.
