Foster also said a box of various electronic equipment given to her husband, Kevin Foster, by Town Clerk Heather Roberts had been identified as garbage or worthless and that she did not make the value determination herself. The exchange prompted commissioners to review and adjust the draft policy to clarify procedures and responsibilities for disposing of surplus items.
Commissioner Calenda moved to approve the Surplus Equipment Disposal Policy as amended during discussion; Commissioner Anderson seconded. The motion passed 6-0. The approved policy will be implemented by administration; the clerk was directed to incorporate the edits made at the meeting into the final policy document.
