The Melbourne Village Town Commission on June 22 voted unanimously to accept the draft audit presented by Moran and Smith, LLP.
Ally Revell, Audit Manager for Moran and Smith, appeared via Zoom and summarized balance changes from the prior-year audit. "There were no audit findings and no compliance issues to report," Revell told the Commission. Town Clerk Heather Roberts said she will distribute the draft audit electronically to commissioners for review.
Commissioner Yorio moved to accept the draft audit as presented; Commissioner Calenda seconded. The motion passed by a 6-0 vote. The acceptance does not constitute final approval of an issued financial statement; it reflects the Commission’s endorsement of the draft and triggers the clerk’s distribution of the document for final processing and formal filing.
