City Attorney Jered Reid told the Prineville City Council that "in the Council President’s absence, the Council must nominate another Council member to preside over this meeting." Councilor Jerry Brummer nominated Councilor Janet Hutchison, the motion was seconded and carried unanimously, and Hutchison took the dais to preside.
Reid also notified the council that "the computer for the chambers isn’t working to display the meeting on the screen" but said Zoom was working and IT could monitor any raised hands for Visitors, Appearances, and Requests. The council then moved on to the consent agenda and scheduled business for the evening.
