DPW garage work nearly complete; borough electricians describe Nov. 15 storm response

The Electric Light committee reported on response to the Nov. 15 storm: the borough experienced a major outage in the early morning; crews restored roughly two-thirds of the borough by about 6:00 a.m., the Blakely section required additional tree clearing and was restored by about 9:30 a.m., and Scott Road required extended work before it could be re-energized later in the day. Electricians repaired fallen primary wires on Flora Drive and Hill Street, and responded to a utility pole fire on Kingsley Blvd. on Dec. 11; service at Kingsley Blvd. was interrupted for about 19 minutes while crews isolated and repaired the damage within roughly two hours.
