Grant Hewitt, representing OpenEd, made a Zoom presentation proposing an alternative online education option for students. Superintendent LuVona Copeland opened the meeting's report section by thanking board members for their service and introducing the Zoom presentation.
Separately, the consent agenda included student fundraising activities: the Junior Class will deliver Valentine items on Feb. 13, Student Council will sell tickets for the SnowBall Dance on Jan. 29, and Student Council will sell Singing‑Grams on Feb. 13. Those fundraiser items were approved as part of the consent agenda. At the end of the meeting Copeland announced that bonds were close to completion and that ribbon-cutting ceremonies would be scheduled soon.
