District schedules gym floor resurfacing, asbestos abatement and window bids for summer work
Summary

Ian presented the district facilities report: all gyms are scheduled for resurfacing this summer, asbestos abatement is planned at the high school, and the district is soliciting second bids for west windows at the intermediate school. He also noted grounds upkeep, water-leak repairs and use of student interns to assist maintenance work over the break.
Board members asked clarifying questions about which gyms and the extent of resurfacing; Ian said resurfacing is primarily a light sanding and recoating and that additional work will be scoped as needed. The board thanked staff and asked for timelines to be provided to ensure minimal disruption to summer programs.
