District uses Oregon Data Suite to flag at‑risk students; staff outline MTSS supports and recovery options

District staff reviewed the MTSS intervention process and demonstrated how the Oregon Data Suite speeds up identification of students who need help. Staff cited snapshot data (as of May 7) showing roughly 225 of 265 students on track and about 40 students with two or more non-passing grades; they said attendance and other non-academic factors often underlie failing marks.
Administrators described multi-step interventions (two to three rounds) before formal testing and offered options including targeted interim instruction, summer recovery, online courses and individualized plans to get students back on track; staff said several seniors who fall behind can still complete requirements by August to graduate with their class.
Quote: "I can click another button and say 2 or more failing grades, and it gives me drop downs so I can see the actual classes that are being failed," the district presenter said, describing how the system saves staff time and targets interventions.
