Commissioners approved creating a Facebook presence to help share information and public notices, including the Great Hill tower maintenance bid (motion by Linda Medeiros, second Jeremy Phillips; approved). The commission also noted that its bylaws have not been reviewed in many years and suggested future updates.
Kelly Goodson shared upcoming outreach events: the Dandelion Festival at the Wonalancet Chapel on May 17 at 1:00 p.m., an iNaturalist training on May 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the library (in partnership with GMCG), and the 'Welcoming of the Bees' at Remick Farm's teaching apiary on May 24 at 1:00 p.m. Commissioners characterized these as fitting the commission's pollinator‑focus and outreach goals.
