The Daggett County Commission voted to withdraw the county's cross appeal in a centrally assessed 2025 property-tax case involving Pacific. "I'll make a motion that we, remove our cross appeal ... for centrally assessed and the 2025 property tax year," the chair said; a commissioner seconded the motion and the chair declared it approved after vocal aye votes were recorded.
Counsel had recommended dismissing the county's cross appeal so that the lower-court order would stand, and commissioners agreed that pursuing further appeal made little sense in the circumstances. One commissioner summarized the practical effect: the lower court's ruling will remain in place rather than proceeding with cross-appeal litigation.
After the vote, members asked whether a signature or an email response was required to effect the withdrawal and referenced the attorney's assessment. The chair noted the administrative follow-up, and the commission moved on to conclude the agenda.
