Councilmember Kyle Stevens reported the Fire District had officially approved a $1.2 million donation toward the new fire station project and that design and development plans are being finalized. The city has been in talks with Zions Financial about using general obligation bonds to cover the remaining costs and will host an open house to explain financing options to the public.
Council discussion indicated further outreach and final financing decisions will follow design completion; staff will return with financing proposals and public meeting dates for review.
