Council moves to closed executive session on pending litigation, then adjourns

Councilmember Kyle Stevens moved 'To go into a closed executive session at 8:01 p.m. to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation as described in Section 52-4-205 (1)(c).' The motion passed with all councilmembers voting yes. Attorney Payton Harris and City Administrator/Recorder Kevin Orton were invited to attend the closed session in addition to councilmembers.
The council returned to open session at 8:14 p.m. and, on a motion by Councilmember Stevens with a second by Councilmember Rausch, the meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m. The minutes record the next regularly scheduled council meeting as April 14, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
