Fillmore council awards $500 to each of four FBLA students to attend national event

Four Millard High School students asked the council for help funding their travel to the 2026 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) event in San Antonio, Texas. The council approved a donation of $500 for each of the four students named in the minutes; the motion was moved by Councilmember Winget and seconded by Councilmember Stevens and recorded as unanimous.
The students thanked the council for last year’s donation and were asked by Councilmember Rausch to help with the celebrations committee after their return. Mayor Curt Hare also asked that the students report back to the council regarding their experience at the national event.
