Redlands Academic Team reports national successes; captain and roster highlighted

Cherry Rain and Melissa Hilliard presented the Academic Teams' 2025-2026 achievements to the Board, reporting that the program has qualified for nationals more than a dozen times, recorded 13 individual top-10 placements this year, and achieved team top-10 finishes at nationals 11 times and top-5 finishes five times, including the most recent year. They noted that Riley Ray, a top individual performer this year, could not attend due to work obligations and recognized Daley Rain as team captain for leadership and dedication.
The coaches introduced each team member, emphasizing a wide range of academic majors represented (nursing, data analytics, professional sciences, paleontology, agroecology, psychology, criminal justice, political science, English and dance) and noted many students plan to transfer to four-year institutions. The presentation highlighted the program's role in student development and campus recruitment.
