Nursing program wins ACEN accreditation; reports 90% first-time NCLEX pass rate

Tara Morgan, Nursing Director of Nursing and Allied Health, reported to the Board that the Nursing Program received full national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) with no warnings or follow-up requirements. Morgan said the next accreditation visit is scheduled for Fall 2033 and that state reporting intervals were extended from three months to six months because of program progress.
Morgan also reported a 90% first-time NCLEX pass rate among second-year students and zero student attrition for the current semester cohort, and described a curriculum transition to Concept-Based Nursing and expanded clinical partnerships. Regents praised Morgan and nursing faculty for their leadership.
