Regent Lori Burns sworn in; Board approves grant resubmission, tuition-waiver change and President's report

At its April 9 meeting the Redlands Community College Board of Regents sworn in Regent Lori Burns and unanimously approved resubmitting a Mary K. Ashbrook Foundation application, amended employee tuition-waiver language, and the President's Report.
Regent Kassandra Newell formally swore in Lori Burns to a second seven-year term before the Board convened its April 9, 2026, meeting in the Regents Room at Redlands Community College.
After routine roll call, the Board moved through a series of unanimous votes. Regent Dale Cox moved and Regent Lori Burns seconded approval of the Feb. 12, 2026 minutes. Later, Regent Burns moved and Dr. David Von Tungeln seconded a motion to approve resubmitting the Mary K. Ashbrook Foundation application after correcting a tax-exempt/signature section; the Board voted in favor. The Board also approved amendments to Policy 606 (tuition waiver for employees and dependents) and subsequently approved the President's Report, which included personnel actions and program updates. All recorded votes were unanimous.
