The filmmaker noted a previous production, "Underexposed Oregon Coast," has exceeded 33,000 views on YouTube, arguing the new film would provide valuable marketing assets for local businesses and the Oak Ridge Trail Alliance. "So far, it's over 33,000 views in the 2 months since it went on," the applicant said. Councilors expressed support for the project and requested the applicant send formal dates and an invoice; one councilor emphasized the importance of securing usage rights and receiving the final assets for municipal promotion.
The motion to approve the full $2,500 was made and seconded during the meeting and passed by voice vote. Staff will follow up to confirm the production timeline, insurance coverage for on-site shoots, and access to the finished video for city use.
