At the Feb. 12 meeting Fiscal Officer Heather Canan told council that a Park Board meeting needs to be held because long-time Park Board member Deanna Eikenberry is in hospice care and Vern Eikenberry is finding it difficult to continue covering park responsibilities. Canan said the council plans a Park Board meeting for March 12 at 6:30 p.m. and that she will contact members and ask them to attend.
Councilor Dan May suggested the village look into the cost of adding more gravel to park areas; Administrator Aaron Flora said he would obtain quotes. These items were recorded as operational and personnel-related concerns for the Park Board; no formal action or appropriation was taken at the Feb. 12 meeting.
The Park Board meeting is intended to address coverage and maintenance issues, and staff will return with cost estimates for gravel and any recommended adjustments to park maintenance assignments.
