Fiscal officer to file long-unrecorded alley; finance meeting set for March 5

Heather Canan, the village fiscal officer, told council that Scott Clark had checked on an alley closed in 2002 that the county did not recognize because it was never recorded with the Recorder's office. "I will take care of it," Canan told council, and she said she is working on end-of-year reports.
Canan scheduled a finance meeting for March 5, 2026 at the council house to go over the budget for the year. The minutes record these items as administrative housekeeping; no formal ordinance or appropriation related to the alley or the budget meeting was recorded at the Feb. 12 session.
Canan also informed council that a Park Board meeting would be planned to address capacity concerns following a member's health decline (see Park Board item).
