Sheriff: Grizzly Ridge fire holding at about 23–24 acres; crews and air support continue

Mechelle Miller reported the Grizzly Ridge fire was being tracked and was "50% contained," and Sheriff Bailey said the blaze was "holding, 23–24 acres," with additional teams arriving and helicopters continuing operations. Sheriff Bailey credited local air-support helpers, noting that "Mike Burnhole has been a huge help with air support." Officials also said fire retardant dropped the previous day "was not as tight as they would have liked but helped." The Antelope fire was reported contained to about one or two acres after assistance from Williams, which used a 9,000-gallon water truck.
The commission received these updates during its July 14 meeting; no formal action was taken beyond receiving the report. Commissioners discussed coordination with state resources and noted the State Emergency Operations Center had elevated to a level 2 due to multiple regional fires.
The county emphasized continued monitoring and coordination with mutual-aid resources; officials did not announce additional restrictions during the meeting.
