Roads update: scheduled treatments, bike path bidding, and county water truck totaled

Sean Hughes provided a detailed roads update: magwater treatments were completed on Jarvis Ranch Road, South Valley, Dump Road, and the Pines and Acres area; State Line Road was scheduled for treatment on July 15; chip seal work is expected in July or August; and sealing for Birch Creek and Lower Airport Road is planned following crack sealing. Sky View work is complete and Deer Run remains closed. A Forest Service request for road base from Highway 191 to the gate was noted, but commissioners clarified that the road is not county-maintained.
Hughes also reported that the county water truck was totaled. After discussing the insurance company's recommendation against a buy-back, the commission decided not to repurchase the vehicle. The roads office plans to coordinate with contractors on the chip-seal contract and prepare the bike path project for bidding after a July 15 meeting.
