County says new clinic will include dental, mental health, tele-pharmacy space; contract due before Sept. 25

County staff gave a multi-point update on the new Daggett County clinic during the July 7 meeting. Construction work was described as progressing — additional curb and gutter poured and X-ray room expansion underway — and staff said they expect the new contract to be finalized before the existing contract expires on Sept. 25, 2026.

The county outlined services planned for the facility: trauma/critical care capability, a medical clinic, an on-site mental health provider, space for Tri-County Health, dental space, conference rooms, an exercise room, a tele-pharmacy area and room for a physical therapist. Rod Becksted raised questions about which provider would staff the clinic and whether Medicare would be accepted; staff said contract negotiations are ongoing and the county intends the contract to be completed well in advance of the September deadline.
