Council to review parking/bridge permit impacts after Cogwild raises access concerns

During other business a councilor raised concerns about the Brown wedding permit pending with Lane County and whether a planned bridge closure would prevent Cogwild from reaching its parking lot on Ralph's property.
Staff explained the county permit is still pending and that, if approved, vehicle access would be closed while pedestrian access to the park would remain. "Pedestrians can still access the park, but not vehicle traffic when the bridge is closed," staff said. The council agreed staff should add the item to a future agenda once the county issues permit approval so the city can consider alternatives for Cogwild’s bike-shuttle operations, including using the City Hall parking lot as a temporary staging area.
The council asked staff to notify them when Lane County finalizes the permit so the issue can be scheduled for formal consideration.
